Verulamium Park
IPAD PAINTING One of the best views of the famous St Albans Cathedral is from Verulamium Park and this is made even better with the sun rising at dawn.
The artist, Kathy Evershed, created this painting in digital form using her iPad from photos she took whilst out early in the park. The print is available framed or unframed, either as an A2 landscape or as an A3 landscape. Both are printed on 235gsm FSC certified satin paper. |

Up Early at Bluehouse Hill
IPAD PAINTING While most people are still tucked up in bed there's a beautiful sunrise view to be had from Bluehouse Hill in Verulamium Park, St Albans. Maybe this painting will inspire you to get up early and see it for yourself if you haven't already!

Dawn on Bluehouse Hill
IPAD PAINTING Climb up Bluehouse Hill at the top of Verulamium Park and you will have a far-reaching view over St Albans. Climb up at the crack of dawn and your view can be magical as the sun rises behind the Abbey.

City of St Albans Swimming Bath
PRINT FROM ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING The City of St Albans Swimming Bath was opened on 29th July 1905 on the site of an old cotton mill. Prior to that, public swimming took place in the adjacent River Ver. The Swimming Bath continued to provide public swimming lessons until 1979 when it was superseded by the current Westminster Lodge facilities.
The Swimming Bath is currently the home of the St Albans Sub Aqua Club and is also open to members for swimming. The artist, Kathy Evershed, uses the pool regularly (including throughout the winter months) for a refreshing outdoor swim! The 11th Tee
PRINT FROM ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING Famous for its association with Samuel Ryder of Ryder Cup fame, Verulam Golf Course in St Albans also boasts some fine views of St Albans Cathedral.
This view from the 11th tee while usually only enjoyed by golfing members, was admired by many when the golf course allowed the general public access during the 2020 Lockdown. Time to go home
PRINT FROM ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING It doesn't snow that often in St Albans but when it does there are a few good hills that lend themselves to tobogganing - this one on Verulam Golf Course.

Cathedral Town
PRINT FROM ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING At the heart of St Albans and at its highest point is the cathedral, an Abbey built on the Shrine of St Alban - the first English martyr. Brimming with history and a centre for pilgrimage, the Abbey is a familiar landmark to anyone living in the area.
With so many splendid views of the Abbey to choose from, this was a particular favourite - looking across Verulamium Park as the early morning mist lifted.
